My Evening of Inspiration was such a flawless evening and part of it was because I had some special guests in the room who came to represent some special places near to my heart.
First the Ronald McDonald house of Southern NJ, a special place for my husband and I personally. We have been donating there for many years and now we visit periodically to donate my books, visit with the folks that stay there and sometimes cook dinner and dine with them as well. There were guests there to represent them and I was touched by the fact that they came. Second we had a few guests from CHOP, where I donate the profits of my book and donate personally. They came not only to represent the hospital, but to support me as a personal friend of the hospital and of theirs. There were a few guests of mine personally, first of all there was Josh Heller who has chosen my foundation on a special FB page to collect donations for his Bar Mitzvah which will then purchase my books to donate to a charitable organization. Second, was a neighbor of mine who’s daughter is being treated for brain cancer at age 14. My neighbor attended with a friend, as my guests for a therapeutic evening well deserved. Her daughter, who was also invited could not attend since she is so very ill from her treatments. My hat goes off to all of my supporters and it meant the world to me for all of them to attend. Thank you all for that!
