Humble Me

I ran into a friend over the weekend whom I have not seen in quite a long time. After Evan and I caught up on the normal things I told him about my upcoming comic book and how excited I was doing this new project.

Although he knew about it from reading my newsletter and my blogs, he shared my excitement and wished me best of luck in this new project. I then began to speak about how sometimes people ask me specific questions about the book and that I thought I should sit down and re-read my book just to keep it all fresh. It seems funny to say that since I lived it and wrote it myself, but not bad idea to refresh different things that I specifically speak about in certain chapters. Evan told me that he keeps my book handy along with a couple of old favorites and had read my book four times so far. He said that with such sincerity and totally caught me off guard. I then asked him why he read if four times already and Evan then shared with me about his sick niece, who we had spoken of before. He told me every time he reads my book he gets something else out of it. He “walks away with a new knowledge” of something that I shared. Needless to say I was amazed at his openness and honesty and really felt different about my work after this conversation. I was very humbled by this and wanted to share this with all of you. Wow, is all I can say and thank you for giving me that. Evan. I feel so good about myself even more so knowing that I can help, over and over. Thank you!
