Teachers

Thinking back over the years, I have had some wonderful teachers. I really loved all my teachers but I can say since I was so ill in elementary school, they were some of my favorites. Remembering all the correct names is something I cannot do and do not want to name the wrong ones but I did have a few come and visit me at CHOP and bring me classmate cards and gifts while I spent months in the hospital. These wonderful heroes in my eyes, were truly loved by me and if they are still with us and happened to read this, they will know who they are. Taking the time to drive down to where CHOP was located when I was a child, taking time from their days off, bringing me gifts and cards from my classmates was healing and inspiring for me- encouraging me to get well. I was missing from the classroom back in those days for about two months at a time and catching up was challenging as well. I never missed a grade and accomplished good grades with the help of these teachers. Working with me and understanding my limitations was key to my recovery and to keeping up. Kisses and hugs to these women! If I remember correctly it was Mrs Oran and Mrs Tartak. Fellow students who read this, tell me if I am correct. file8571279077726
