The World

Watching the news lately is a difficult task with all the violence going on in our country alone. I find it difficult to believe that for some reason people cannot find harmony and learn to live together. Whatever our color, religion, etc, we are here because we have a right to believe in and have an opinion on things because it is our right as Americans, correct? When we step over the line and it hurts, involves, and or disrupts the law, I just cannot get my head around it. We seem to be taking more steps backwards than forwards. I was raised to love everyone, try to get along with everyone, and respect everyone. My opinion is mine alone, but it does not hurt or insult anyone because it is mine. Help others when they need help, reach out when you can and never, never disrespect anyone within reason. How difficult is that? We raised our son the same way- to love, live, and help, as well as respect. How come we can do it and others struggle with it? It takes more energy to be mad, mean, and hate than it does to do peace.
