Turning 25!

My son’s girlfriend recently turned 25. I did not really think too much of it until she said, “OMG I am going to be a quarter of a century!” That comment took me back to a couple of years ago, more than just a couple honestly, when I was turning 25. It felt ancient and weird that I was that “old.” Could I really have thought that 25 was old? Now I am 53! Could that have been my milestone that year? I think it was, and along with everyone else in the world, certain ages mark periods of our lives that we think will never change. I thought I would always look 25, mind, body, and soul, but I learned a couple of years later, maybe more, that the only thing that did not change is my soul. This of course is all in a good way since maturing and learning life lessons are what molds you into becoming the “”wise older person” who has “done it all.” I have been so very sick throughout my lifetime, but also very well traveled, well rounded, open minded, strong willed, and of course, kind. I was always these things, but growing is a part of life that seasons you and makes you even better than before. So to Allison, you have so very much to experience, learn, and live. You have done and seen so very much, but more wonderful things will be coming your way. Live, Love, Laugh. That is what life is about. file00028005054
