Staying Healthy

Everyone has goals and purposes in life, I assume, but how we get there is a different story. Because I was so ill and weak throughout my life, I feel very focused on taking care of my body so that, as I grow older, I will be able to stay strong and healthy. I am certainly not perfect and do not preach to anyone about being that way, but balance is the key to my secret. I eat well, giving myself all the food groups and try to stay away from too much fat. Low fat is a great way for me to feel good alongside trying to watch my intake of carbohydrates. I love to eat pasta, and within reason, I still do. A couple of times a month I have pasta and get my satisfaction, but I try to eat it with healthy things. I love to alter recipes to make them a bit healthier, and most of the time, I have conquered it. I believe everything is okay in moderation. Be aware of all you eat when you go out. Dining out is something we enjoy doing very often but ordering the right things is the challenge. I try to really think about my meal before I order it, and when I can cut back, I do. Read about nutrition and what you would like to accomplish. My health comes first and for most, and luckily, I love fruits and veggies, but enough protein is a key to feeling good.

Good luck finding your balance and care enough to care—if that makes any sense at all.
