Today is a big family day at our home. We are gathering for dinner and swimming with just about everyone who could make it to say goodbye to our son Johnathan and his girlfriend Allison. They are getting ready to move to San Francisco for four months for internships. We are all so proud of both of them and will miss them terribly, but are thrilled that they both are doing something exciting. We and most of the family will probably not see them until Christmas. We will spend the day dining, swimming, swapping stories, and just plain hanging out. These gatherings important for us and keeps us connected, since we are all over the place most of the year. Remember that these times of gathering keep us all close and are special. A family needs each other and we should make certain to keep it going.
