An Old Friend

Spoke to an old friend who is in a rehab after a triple bypass. Franny worked for me at our restaurant for many years and she became a, shall I say, sweet thorn in my side. She would do anything asked of her, good server, good person, but drove me crazy if that makes any sense. We kept in touch since we sold our business (since I like to let people that worked for me know that I still care about them). My quick phone call, something any of us has a few minutes to do, made her day. She was so happy to hear from me and sends love to my family as well. My point is that if you only take a few minutes to do the right thing and let someone know that they mean something to you, it will go a long way. Fran now has something else to smile about while recovering. Thanks Fran for being who you are. You gave me something to keep me on my toes for ten years.
