Write It Down

Let’s begin with the fact that I had no formal training to write. I had a passion to get my story out of my head and thought about it for many years. My only mistake is that I did not journal in any way so jogging my memory became something very real. I managed to have vivid memories of my life that I was able to share, express, and expand upon but I am going to emphasize to all of you to not follow my footsteps. Jot it down, a little or a lot, as much as you can find the time for. Everyone has something to share even if you are the only one who rereads it. I guarantee this will be rewarding and healing in many ways. You can use this as a tool for recovery, peace of mind, or for future stories to share with family especially children. What I want is for you to take some time and seriously think about this. Some wonderful opportunities to share your story will be coming up in 2014 and I hope that you take the time to start journaling now.
