Now Get to Work

Posted by on Jan 28, 2015 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

The celebration is over, the hats are away with the noisemakers for next year and the beginning of 2015 has begun. We drank, we ate, we sang, we drank more, and then kissed at midnight. For us, there were fireworks outside the restaurant we dined at and it was the ending of a lovely evening. Today, we move a bit slow, but are happy with the celebration we just attended. Now it’s time to get to work! No matter how you look at it we have another year to work on. I do hope it is a year for us all to get...

Special Donations

I recently received two gifts from the the group of authors that all joined together to be superhero in our newest book, The Crusaders. How very special it feels to have people, who I have never met do something so sweet for me. Thank you both...

Each year, for the past 6 years, I have a big fundraising event. It began with trying to spread the word about my book and has since turned into a time to raise money for CHOP, promote my bookS, and celebrate all that The Foundation has done! I gather friends, family, and anyone who wants to know about what my foundation does and take the time to celebrate our accomplishments over the past year. We dance, dine, laugh, I speak about something very inspirational and spread the word of good will, happiness and...

Turning 25!

Posted by on Jan 10, 2015 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

My son’s girlfriend recently turned 25. I did not really think too much of it until she said, “OMG I am going to be a quarter of a century!” That comment took me back to a couple of years ago, more than just a couple honestly, when I was turning 25. It felt ancient and weird that I was that “old.” Could I really have thought that 25 was old? Now I am 53! Could that have been my milestone that year? I think it was, and along with everyone else in the world, certain ages mark periods...
