New Year’s Resolutions

Posted by on Dec 31, 2014 in Uncategorized | 1 comment

Every year, since as far back as I can remember, we have all made a New Year’s resolution. We would all pick out some vice we had, and in order to better ourselves, we would vow to improve on this particular vice. We would make it our New Year’s resolution. I always struggled with this particular thing but went along with it since all my friends were anxious to do this and they made me feel obligated to make one. Many years later, I still struggle with it but do ponder on it for a day or so before...

Ringing in the New Year

Posted by on Dec 29, 2014 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

How do you ring in the New Year? Everyone all over the world celebrates this glorious holiday in similar, yet different ways. We shop, wrap, bake, decorate, go to church and/or synagogue and prepare for a few wonderful nights with the family and close friends.  I adore all of it and love having everyone over for family dinner.  No matter what is going on in the world, we all manage to gather one night to laugh, dine, catch up, exchange gifts and spend some quality time together. For me, I love every minute of it and when it...

Dance Like Nobody is Watching!

Funny, I often hear this saying and think nothing of it, but I understand the significance. I’m sharing this story with you because this saying haunted me all day long a few days ago. Visiting a friend who is bedridden and in terrible shape is something none of us want to do, but, we do it and feel better that we did, not only for ourselves but for the person we visited. My friend, who in the past few years lost his father, sold his family business, and invested in a cute condo in Florida, something that...
