A Fellow Author

I just finished fellow author’s book, Contrast, by Devin Hughes. Although it’s a story completely opposite of mine, it has similarities of strength, hope and inspiration scattered throughout. Devin was born to a mixed couple and never felt he had a place in either the white or black world, if that makes sense. To me it does. Even though I believe we are all equal and deserve to be treated as such, there is a culture difference which we learn from our parents, some good some bad, but with which we can...

Trusting Your Parents

I have always trusted my parents advice, opinions, and wisdom and now we share them with our son. He is not around that much and we do miss spending time with him, but when he needs advice or wants to share a problem, we are there for him. Family Time

Today is a big family day at our home. We are gathering for dinner and swimming with just about everyone who could make it to say goodbye to our son Johnathan and his girlfriend Allison. They are getting ready to move to San Francisco for four months for internships. We are all so proud of both of them and will miss them terribly, but are thrilled that they both are doing something exciting. We and most of the family will probably not see them until Christmas. We will spend the day dining, swimming, swapping...

Ronald McDonald House Event: Southern New Jersey August 9th

This Saturday, August 9th, come visit me and my volunteers at the Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey’s event at the Promenade in Marlton New Jersey. We will be there with a big truck from Lilliston Ford for children who attend to climb on, beep the horn, and play. In addition to other trucks of all shapes and size trucks for the kids to play on, there will be  food and activities for everyone. Admission is FREE and best of all I will be gifting, along with Seth Heller who raised money for my...
