Well, I found myself relearning the words and agreed that since we want everyone to enjoy whatever holidays they celebrate, since Christmas is here I am going to just come out and say it. Merry Christmas. Yep, I did it, I am sorry, but here I sit, the Jewish one, blogging her little heart out about treating everyone equal, have compassion, give strength and hope to all, and so on. Holiday Bowling

So, this will be the second bowling fundraiser with my friends at St. Joes High School football team and I am thrilled that they want to continue to work with us and donate to my foundation. This group of women collect donations of personal items such as shampoo, conditioner, socks, lotions, and of course copies of my book, all stuffed into gift bags and brought over to CHOP and gifted to the Oncology moms the week of Christmas. How nice to receive this gift when most of them are living at the hospital and have no personal items to make their day feel...

The Hummingbird

I read this and really thought it was worth sharing. I am an avid hummingbird feeder. I have two feeder that are quite large and we attract hundreds daily to our home. Yes, hundreds. People are amazed at the frenzy in our back yard when they join us for a swim and a bar-b que. “The hummingbird symbolizes love, joy and beauty. It’s unique ability to fly backwards teaches us that we can look back at our past without dwelling there but continuing forward. The hummingbird’s aptitude  to hover while...
