I could not be more excited to find out that my team at Round Table Companies is working hard to help me spread the news of my upcoming event. This new comic book will be the most exciting thing since my first book came out for me to share with you all. The great part about this upcoming book is that you will receive a bird’s eye view of my story, with a visual to boot! An ill child

Whenever I go to The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) to visit with the staff and doctors I have befriended over the years, I see many ill children.  I was one of those children. I remember when I first became ill and wanted to continue playing outside with the neighborhood children. It was very difficult for me to keep up with them as we ran around playing tag, hide and seek or even something simple like hopscotch or jump rope. I was weak,...

Sick, even on the Holidays

Posted by on Jul 15, 2011 in General, Hospital Experiences | 0 comments

As a child and as an adult, I suffered my fair share of illnesses over the holidays. Let me offer this advice to you- if you or a loved one is facing illness during a family celebration or holiday–it is not the end of the world but it does put a damper on the family festivities.  All I can say is, make the best of the situation. When I was in the hospital, the staff managed to make me part of the celebration of whatever holiday it was and family members were able to visit and still had time to do “family...
