When I heard of the death of Michael Jackson I was totally shocked as was everyone else in the country. I grew up with him, had a childhood crush on him and truly loved his music. The second half of his life was difficult to deal with since he was such an icon. I was asked to blog about him but my true connection was with the death of Farrah Fawcett, the same day, and announced almost the same time as Michael.
