Spring Has Arrived

Posted by on May 24, 2017 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

As usual I am always in awe of the fact that the seasons change right on time. How does Mother Nature do it? Seems like a funny question but really, really put some thought in this. Like a clock, without anyone pushing a button, swiping or ringing any kind of a bell, here comes another season. It happens just about the same time each and every year just when spring should appear. Just when the misery or the cold, damp, and sunless days ware on us to the bitter end, here comes the sights and sounds of  spring...

A Letter to Princess Diana

As I sit here and ponder about the amount of years you have been gone, I find it hard to believe. It is so many years, it is hard to comprehend. I wish you were here to read my words but deep down, I know that somewhere you are watching us all, especially your children. I have followed you since you became a part of public life and felt a connection to you and an interest in your life. I watched you blossom, marry, struggle with the reporters, have children, your sadness grow, your divorce, and everything in...

Once in a while we like to mix things up a bit and do a simple and fun fundraiser with some of our schools. St. Joseph High School Football team is one of our groups that we like to work with. Your $10 per person donation will cover you for 2 games and shoes with...

One of my volunteers went to school with Felicia and they recently graduated high school. We asked Felicia if she would like to share her story with us at the Evening of Inspiration. I cannot describe the emotion in the room when Felicia took the stage. She managed to explain her story, breaking down from the emotional stress...

Cold Weather and an ill Child

Posted by on Mar 26, 2017 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

Seems like the entire USA is out of sorts with the weather. The entire east coast is under a chill that I cannot recover from. I am not sure how others can deal with the cold but for me I tuck in and hibernate, staying inside as much as I can and avoiding outside as much as I can. The thought of my parents schlepping me around as a child in this chill when I was so very sick is hard for me to fathom. How do you bundle up your ill child enough to get to the never ending doctor appointments, emergency room runs, and...
