Misunderstanding Some Social Media

Posted by on Feb 23, 2017 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

I like all of us have at one time or another been misunderstood while posting on social media. Seems like when we type and think of what we want to express, at times it may come accross different than how you meant it to sound. Texting would also be included in this catagory. I am not certain how to correct this other than to stop, think, reread your thoughts over twice and then hit the send or post button. It makes me feel bad when someone gets the wrong thing come across, and when you try to correct it or...

Grateful

I just met a women who I have been in contact with online for years. She collects the items for the “mommy bags” and delivers them to CHOP for the Oncology moms who are stuck at the hospital during the holidays with their ill children. Marie is an amazing person who I want to salute as an unsung hero in my book. She tirelessly collect items for these gifts and when she comes up short, goes out and makes purchases to make certain each mom has enough personal items to help them get through being at...

Regardless, this is just another young person heading to heaven way too early. Tori and our son went all through grade school, middle, and high school together and although I am not certain they kept in touch after, social media managed to keep the kids up to date with each other. Tori was a full of life kind of girl, a...

Favorite Foods

Posted by on Jan 4, 2017 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

We recently were away for a little trip and the conversation with friends was sharing what our favorite foods were. For those who know me, I love to eat and for me it is usually about eating well prepared foods that are healthy. I am not obsessed with healthy but close to it and love to try to prepare all our meals with nutritional value. We also shared our favorite cheat foods which can also be nutritious if prepared properly. I just love pizza and pasta. These two things are foods I do not eat very often but...

Chicken Soup, Good for the Soul

Posted by on Dec 29, 2016 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

This is a book and a saying and is so very true. I love to cook and making chicken soup is a specialty of mine. It is a staple in our freezer at all times and everyone we are close with looks forward to a “drop off” when they are feeling ill and under the weather. On a snowy day in the middle of winter, there is nothing like a big bowl of homemade chicken soup. When I visited our son a few times I surprised him with a fresh pot of soup for his freezer, which he loved more than anything and recently...
