Cold Weather and an ill Child

Posted by on Mar 26, 2017 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

Seems like the entire USA is out of sorts with the weather. The entire east coast is under a chill that I cannot recover from. I am not sure how others can deal with the cold but for me I tuck in and hibernate, staying inside as much as I can and avoiding outside as much as I can. The thought of my parents schlepping me around as a child in this chill when I was so very sick is hard for me to fathom. How do you bundle up your ill child enough to get to the never ending doctor appointments, emergency room runs, and...

Moving On

Tragedy after tragedy comes to us through social media, the news, and many other ways. There are so many terrible things happening in the world today? How do we manage to process them? How do we put our fears on hold to travel? How do we prepare ourselves mentally if we were subjected to something horrific? These questions and many others run through my head every time the news tells me about another person or persons doing harm to innocent people. The real question I just cannot process is…why? Misunderstanding Some Social Media

Posted by on Feb 23, 2017 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

I like all of us have at one time or another been misunderstood while posting on social media. Marie is an amazing person who I want to salute as an unsung hero in my book. She tirelessly collect items for these gifts and when she comes up short, goes out and makes purchases to make certain each mom has enough personal items to help them get through being at...

There are so many charitable organizations and there are so many causes, how does one decide where or how to donate? There are some things you can think about before you donate to an organization. Here are some questions you can ask yourself. First, do I want to donate to a nationwide or global organization or something a bit smaller, like local or run very small and close to the belt? Does it matter the percentage of my dollar that is used for the actual charity? How does my heart feel when I donate to said...

Saying Goodbye

Posted by on Jan 19, 2017 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

We said goodbye a few weeks ago to yet another young person who graduated high school with our son. Tori passed in a terrible car accident recently of which the details we do not know as of yet. Regardless, this is just another young person heading to heaven way too early. Tori and our son went all through grade school, middle, and high school together and although I am not certain they kept in touch after, social media managed to keep the kids up to date with each other. Tori was a full of life kind of girl, a...
