My Guest Speaker

Felicia was born with a rare problem. Digesting her food was nearly impossible. She spent a large portion of her life fighting and spending an unimaginable amount of time at CHOP. One of my volunteers went to school with Felicia and they recently graduated high school. We asked Felicia if she would like to share her story with us at the Evening of Inspiration. I cannot describe the emotion in the room when Felicia took the stage. She managed to explain her story, breaking down from the emotional stress...

We just celebrated our 8th year of my book Everything’s Okay and along with that we had our Evening of Inspiration Fundraiser. It is our biggest event and shall I say… Oh what a night! How do you bundle up your ill child enough to get to the never ending doctor appointments, emergency room runs, and...

Tragedy after tragedy comes to us through social media, the news, and many other ways. There are so many terrible things happening in the world today? How do we manage to process them? How do we put our fears on hold to travel? How do we prepare ourselves mentally if we were subjected to something horrific? These questions and many others run through my head every time the news tells me about another person or persons doing harm to innocent people. The real question I just cannot process is…why? I feel very...

Misunderstanding Some Social Media

Posted by on Feb 23, 2017 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

I like all of us have at one time or another been misunderstood while posting on social media. Seems like when we type and think of what we want to express, at times it may come accross different than how you meant it to sound. Texting would also be included in this catagory. I am not certain how to correct this other than to stop, think, reread your thoughts over twice and then hit the send or post button. It makes me feel bad when someone gets the wrong thing come across, and when you try to correct it or...
